Cancer Management

The Management of Arbuda is based on it cellular and gross appearance of mass. The cellular level is treated by Sat Upkarmas namely

1. Langhana

2. Brmhana

3. Rukshana

4. Snehana

5. Svedana

6. Stambhana

The Macroscopic mass is mange by removing and killing its place by Astavidha Karma (Eight Fold Surgical Measure) as described by Sushruta the great learner of Ayurveda namely

1. Chedana (excision)

2. Bhedana (incision)

3. Lekhana (scraping or curettage)

4. Eshana (exploration or probing)

5. Aharana (extraction)

6. Vedana (puncturing)

7. Visravana (Blood letting

8. Sivana (Suturing)

The Arbuda is mange by all above the proceducre with help of some additional Para surgical procedures like raktamoskha, Aganikarma, Kshara karma, Maggot therapy, Kshara sutra etc. The complications of surgery is managed by Sixty Karma.
